Belts and Hoses

Hoses allow the transfer of engine-critical fluids—such as coolant and power steering fluid—throughout your system.

Like all other systems in your vehicle, it is vital to get belts and hoses checked and serviced regularly to keep everything running smoothly and safely. From exposure to the elements to the daily operation of your vehicle, belts and hoses can wear down over time and turn brittle, glaze over, crack, and—worst of all—break.

Tires: Rotation, Repair

Stop by Aguilar Auto Body for a tire rotation to help ensure a smooth, safe ride. Tires wear differently depending on their position on your vehicle, your driving style, and your suspension’s condition. If you don’t rotate your tires, they can develop uneven tread wear, especially the front tires, since they are primarily responsible for steering and turning the vehicle. Regularly rotating your tires helps them wear more evenly, which can promote better fuel efficiency, consistent performance, and greater longevity.

Knowing-the-Difference-Between-Alternator-and-Starter

Starters and Alternators

Alternators are a crucial part of your car or truck electrical system. If the alternator is not working, you will need to replace it or have it rebuilt.

When a car alternator is not working, there are many things that can cause this issue. It could be the wire that connects the alternator to the battery, the brushes that turn on and off in order to charge your battery or even something as simple as a dirty terminal connection.

Steering and suspension

Ensuring a comfortable ride for you and your passengers is all about balance, stability and smooth handling. The steering and suspension systems in your vehicle are what make that possible. From prompt and accurate steering response when you’re turning, merging and parking to keeping your wheels planted firmly on the road, a well-maintained steering and suspension system is an essential part of staying safe behind the wheel.

signs-its-time-for-an-auto-tune-up

Tune-ups

Decades ago, “tune-ups” typically referred to a set of maintenance services and adjustments, but vehicles today rarely refer to the historical ‘tune-up” since many of those services and adjustments are no longer applicable. Engine “tune-ups” today can include a wide range of maintenance services, from checking and replacing spark plugs and various filters to cleaning out the fuel system. Depending on the age and history of your vehicle, Aguilar Auto Body offers “tune-up” services that make sense for your needs. Generally, we recommend having the engine checked once a year or every 10,000 to 12,000 miles for routine maintenance. If you need more targeted repairs, our technicians will let you know.

Timing belt and twin camshaft sprocket in engine racing car.

Timing Belts

The timing belt is so crucial to your engine’s operation that its failure is often catastrophic – meaning, not only does your vehicle suddenly not run, the internal engine is likely damaged. It is one of those parts that as much as the replacement is painful as routine maintenance, choosing not to perform this maintenance will absolutely lead to a catastrophic failure, and an even bigger bill.

If you have heard of the term “Timing Chain” before, both a timing belt and chain perform the same duty. Their job is to keep the mechanical timing of the engine – the intake and exhaust valves opening and closing at the exact precise time needed. Today’s engines are composed of multiple valves per cylinder, sometimes as many as 5 – and doing this properly requires exact precision between the moving pistons and the opening of the valves.

What Service Does My Car Need?

The secret to a car that never gives problems is proper maintenance. In most cases we recommend a Major Service every 15,000 km, in which all the maintenance operations that the manufacturers recommend are carried out and several additional things that make it all your car needs in terms of maintenance. . However, there are situations in which due to the specific condition of the car, its mileage or the year, a Minor Service would be appropriate. If you have concerns, do not hesitate to contact us.

Remember that in ALL the services we offer we include Premium parts that equal or exceed the manufacturer’s specifications.

why choose us?

Exceeding Expectations & Building Customers for Life!

Step #1 – The Repair Estimate

Bring your car over to us and we’ll perform a auto body repair estimate (no appointment required). Our auto body collision professionals will evaluate the extent of your vehicle’s damage and estimate the cost of repairs. We’ll also provide you with an estimate of how long you can expect for the repairs. However, sometimes additional damage uncovered upon disassembly can mean additional subsequent repair costs and time.

Step #2 – Insurance

You may have already received an estimate from the insurance company handling your claim. To make your life easier, we will handle most of the paperwork and communications with the insurance company. For example, in the event of additional damage being uncovered after the initial estimate, we’ll take care of requesting the supplement from the insurance company handling the claim.

Step #3 – The Repair

Once your car has received the final damage assessment, we get started on your car’s repairs. This may require disassembly and ordering parts. At this stage, we will give you an update (if necessary) on how long your repairs will take. We also use genuine OEM parts to ensure quality repairs..

Step #4 – The Finishing Touches

Once the body work is finished, we will ensure the paint is precisely matched, and that your car is returned to you professionally cleaned inside and out. At Aguilar Auto Services & Body Shop our goal is to make sure your car is safe, and looks as good as it did before your accident.
